Vision

God has a vision for the congregations which form the Gateway USA Mission Center.

We have a vision that our Children:

Will be nurtured in safety and love by congregations who deeply care for their well being...
Will be protected and sheltered as they grow...
Will have the joy of intergenerational fellowship at reunions, worship services and fellowship gatherings...
Will continually hear the stories of faith both from scriptures and testimony from faithful disciples...
Will be valued for their gifts and contribution to our community....

God has a vision for Children that is greater than our vision.

We have a vision that our youth:

Will have a monthly Mission-Center wide events that will provide fellowship with others of like faith….
Will feel welcomed, nurtured, and loved and be able to turn to welcome nurture and love others
Will travel, learn, minister and grow together
Will develop Spiritual disciplines that guide them throughout their lives….
Will discover and develop their Spiritual gifts for the use in the body of Christ
Will receive guidance, training and mentoring necessary to become leaders in the Church
Will have skilled teachers and directors who bring quality, Christ-centered ministry to every activity they participate in

God has a vision for Youth that is greater than our vision.

We have a vision that our young adults:

Will create sacred space to be in fellowship with one another without judgment when and wherever they meet together
Will have ministry available on college campuses around the mission center where they have rich fellowship and their spiritual growth is nurtured.
Voices will be used to bridge generations within the body of Christ
Gifts and talents would be used to enrich the body of Christ
Congregations everywhere will celebrate with them, those special events that occur in their life journeys.

God’s vision for Young Adults is greater than our vision……

We have a vision for our leadership that:

Leaders are filled with vibrant passion for Jesus Christ and commitment to serve
Leaders continue growing in all dimensions of discipleship and spiritual formation throughout life not just for those they serve but for the joy of God’s fellowship…
That leaders meet together regularly to worship, train, fellowship, and draw strength from God and each other…walking humbly, side-by-side, helping our people know the risen Lord and to reach their full potential in Christ….
That leaders respectfully listen to the voices of those they serve and hear the passion and needs they speak and those that do not speak…
Leaders of today will feel the call to continually pray to discern and develop the leaders of tomorrow helping them develop through Christ-like presence, personal support, training, mentoring and encouragement

God’s vision for our leaders is greater than our vision…..

We have a vision for our congregations that:

Each congregation, no matter the size or makeup, will have vibrant Spirit-led worship on a regular basis, no matter the form that worship takes…
That congregations will be filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit, such that those who enter the sacred space will be blessed with the peace of Christ…
That congregations live out their own unique calling and mission both in the communities they occupy and in the Mission Center and World Church arenas…
That congregations will claim the vision of the peaceable kingdom and invite others to join them in living that vision…
That congregations will be open, welcoming and nurturing to all who seek to draw with them into the presence of God.
The power of Christ will flow in such abundance that our congregations cannot contain it and it spills from our doors and windows and hearts of our people into the community we occupy to change our world….
