Peace for Me

Self esteem, uniqueness, emotions/feelings, self worth/value
  • Celebrate Your Family (activity) - You are special because your family is special. Share your family.
  • Masking How I Feel (craft) - Discover why people hide their feelings. Make a mask reflecting your feelings.
  • Emotion Commotion (activity) - Understanding our emotions and learning self control.
  • Facemaker (computer) - Everyone is unique, everyone has worth. Build a face and animate it.
  • Dealing with Feelings Bingo (game) - Identify our feelings and value the feelings of others.
  • Body Tracing (craft) - Identifying peaceful and unpeaceful feelings within us.
  • Leave Your Mark on the World (activity) - Everything that we do leaves a mark for someone or something. What can you do?

Peace for Us

Relationships, respect/acceptance, cooperation/teamwork, communication, conflict resolution
  • Bridge to Peace (activity) - Teaches steps to problem solving in relationships.
  • Block Talk (activity) - Enhances listening and communication skills.
  • Peace Plays Theater (activity) - Puppet role play to find good resolutions to conflicts.
  • Humano Harambe (activity) - Teaching children to work together toward a common goal using small wooden blocks.
  • Peace Walk (activity) - Practice teamwork and communication by walking together on skis.
  • Diversity Daze (activity) - Riding in or pushing a wheelchair through an obstacle course.
  • Dough Peace (craft) - Molding signs of peace with a partner using non-dominate hand.
  • Double Trouble (activity) - Learn how a disability can help us identify others abilities.
  • Hoola Hoop (game) - Cooperative skills of “listening” and “doing” can create great fun.

Peace for Everyone

Human rights/justice, understanding, diversity, global community
  • Name Game (activity) - Learning each others names in a creative fun game develops listening skills.
  • Languages of Peace (activity) - See the word “peace” in 50 different languages.
  • We All Share the Same World (craft) - Create flags representing the world.
  • All-in-One Language Fun (computer) - Experience the beauty of five languages.
  • Just Like Me (activity)*- Using a quilt, traditional cultural uniqueness and appreciation is fostered.
  • Just Like You Costumes (activity) - Using clothing from different countries, cultural diversity is appreciated.
  • Children of the World (puzzle) - Explore cultural diversity through children in other countries.
  • Friendships are Diverse (activity) - Acceptance of our heritage helps us to communicate our feelings about diversity.
  • Help 2 Open Channels of Peace (activity) - Identifying our feelings can help us to channel our peaceable feelings into the whole world.

Stewardship, ecology, interconnectedness
  • Water Matters (activity) - See the effects of various agents on ground water quality. You can help!
  • Animal Puppets (activity) - Use puppets to role play how animals cohabitate with humans and deal with elements in their environment.
  • Rainforest (computer) - Learn all about the rainforest and its’ creatures.
  • Papermaking (craft) - Recyclables create rather than destroy our environment.
  • Endangered Animals (puzzle) - See the endangered animals and learn how you can help.
  • Build a Rainforest (mural) - Learn how to rebuild or save a rainforest.
  • North American Animals (puzzle) - Learn about the different animals living on our continent.
  • Paws for Peace (activity) - Identifying animal prints encourages us to learn about the habits of animals.
